        The Museum of the Republic of Vietnam is the one and only institution of its kind in the world dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Republic of Vietnam and Saigon Diaspora. Visitors to the museum are able to encounter an experience unlike any other that brings them face to face with the artifacts that tell many of the fascinating stories of the people and events of the place in time that was the Republic of Vietnam - the origin of the worldwide diaspora we see today. 
      The museum welcomes individuals of all cultural backgrounds to visit, participate, and be encouraged to learn about the history and culture of the Republic of Vietnam and the Saigon Diaspora.

Latest Events & Highlights

• **2025 Highlights:** In July 2025, student volunteers discovered an old vinyl record while working in the archives, a reminder that hidden treasures await at the museum. On July 1 the museum opened "Lâm Phương: Music of Journeys Traveled," featuring framed album covers celebrating the beloved songwriter. On June 24 a decorated 101st Airborne veteran visited, sharing his experiences training Republic of Vietnam Marines and signing our guest book. High‑school docents from La Quinta and Garden Grove High Schools volunteered on June 21. Out‑of‑town guests from Seattle and Texas toured the museum in May. Our 2025 Merit Awards programme for exemplary high‑school seniors opened for applications in June (due July 10, 2025). We also celebrated Independence Day on July 4, reflecting on freedom and heritage.

• **2024 Recap:** During 2024 the museum commemorated the 49th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon (Black April) with remembrance ceremonies and educational talks. We hosted rotating exhibits of uniforms, flags and dioramas, continued our oral‑history programme and welcomed veterans to share their stories. Community events included Tet celebrations and Operation Frequent Wind/Operation New Life remembrances.

• **2023 Milestones:** In 2023 we marked the 48th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon and honoured veterans with special displays, including the uniform of General Nguyen Ngoc Loan and artifacts donated by families. The museum launched an expanded oral‑history initiative and awarded Merit Scholarships to outstanding local students. Visitors from across the United States continued to discover our collection and learn about the Republic of Vietnam and Saigon diaspora.
